Golden Osmanthus Tieguanyin comes from a tea garden in Yongchun, Fujian, at an elevation of 700 metres. Left to grow naturally for over a decade, the garden has gradually developed into a thriving ecosystem, where native trees, wild plants, and golden beetles coexist among the tea bushes. Free from chemical fertilizers and pesticides, the garden is nourished with sheep manure and cared for through traditional hand weeding.
Behind this tea is Li Shao Lin, a tea farmer and craftsman whose family has worked with tea for generations. With nearly 50 years of experience, Li continues to explore new expressions of traditional tea making. The autumn-harvested Hong Xin Tie Guan Yin offers a fuller body and richer character. To bring out another layer of fragrance, Li works with his friend Xie Rong Fu, scenting the tea three times with osmanthus flowers grown in Xie's own garden. It is a collaboration rooted in friendship, patience, and a shared respect for nature.
The result is a beautifully layered tea, where the delicate sweetness of osmanthus meets elegant orchid notes and a creamy, rounded texture. An expression of autumn Tieguanyin, shaped by nature, craftsmanship, and the quiet harmony between tea and flowers.
