Echoes in the White Forest comes from Mengku Daxueshan, rising 2,200–2,750 meters and wrapped in mist throughout the year. The pristine forest floor, rich in mineral-laden humus, nourishes ancient wild tea communities known as a “gene bank of tea trees,” including one towering ancestor over 2,700 years old.
Here grows the Mengku Large-leaf Variety—one of China’s first certified tea cultivars and revered as the truest expression of Yunnan large-leaf tea. Its thick, palm-sized leaves are covered in fine down, with water-soluble compounds reaching 52.1%. High levels of polyphenols and amino acids give the tea its depth, strength, and unmistakable mountain energy.
From this wild, mineral-rich world comes a tea marked by notes of plum, forest wood, and stone—pure, resonant, and quietly powerful.
